Fundraising efforts for 2018

Last year The Jungle set out to fulfil our corporate and social responsibilities by supporting many local and national charities and fundraising events. We feel it is important to support those organisations and individuals who spend their own time and energy trying to raise much needed funds for their chosen charities and causes. We are happy to be able to support these people by offering prizes, vouchers and donations which they can use as prizes or incentives.

In 2018, we provided over 100 Gift Vouchers, to the value of £5,920 to various fundraising and charity events to be used as raffle prizes or fundraising incentives. These went towards fundraising efforts for a range of worthy causes, such as The Children’s Cancer Unit, NI Children’s Hospice, Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK, PIPS (Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self Harm), Action for Cancer, Make A Wish Foundation, Mencap, Chest, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Pretty N’ Pink Breast Cancer Charity, TearFund, TinyLife, Cancer Focus NI, MS Society, Home NI Homeless and many more.

We take our hats off to those individuals who go to extreme lengths to selflessly raise funds for their designated charities. We have supported individuals who have cycled from Vietnam to Cambodia, others who were helping build a bridge in Uganda, others who walked 135KM in 3 days as well as various groups who headed off on missionaries and volunteering projects to Asia and Africa. These incredible feats of courage and determination to support people and communities in need are an inspiration and we are more than happy to get behind them and give them an extra boost in their fundraising efforts.

Charity Partners for Rampage 2018

In April 2018, we hosted our second annual Rampage Weekender event. Our chsen chariy partners for this event were SANDS NI, an organisation that supports bereaved parents who have lost their babies, before, during or shortly after birth. Sadly, it is a cause which is often overlooked and a situation that is close to our hearts. They provide an important and vital service to grieving parents at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.

We were able to donate £5 from each participant’s entry fee, enabling a grand total of £4,500 to be donated to this fantastic charity.

Total contributions for 2018

Through our contributions of numerous Gift Vouchers and by donating to our charity partners at Rampage, we managed to contribute a total of £10,420 during 2018.

We also had various groups who participated in our events such as Rampage Weekender and Zombie Run, who used these events to raise funds for their own designated charities, so to those who did so, we salute you!

We host our Rampage Weekender on 27th and 28th April 2019 and our Zombie Run on 5th and 6th October, so we encourage anyone to pick their chosen charity and raise funds at these epic events!
