Rampage

One weekend. One course. Then it's gone.

Rampage

Rampage at the Jungle in Magherafelt, Mid Ulster

No excuses, just Rampage

This isn’t a casual 5K. Once a year we tear up The Jungle and turn it into a full-scale obstacle battlefield, mud, water, slips, the occasional graze, and a finish line you’ll actually feel proud crossing.

We build this course once. When the weekend’s over, it’s gone until next year.

What to expect

Saturday — Adult Rampage

5K or 10K through fresh obstacles and a brand-new four-lane Slip ‘n’ Slide, complete with a launch platform this year. Wave starts from 10am. This is the run everyone talks about, and it sells out first.

Sunday — Kids & Teens Rampage

Kids Rampage (2K, ages 6-10) starts with the first wave at 11am. Teens Rampage (5K, ages 11-17) follows with the first wave at 1pm. Parents are welcome to run alongside either.

The obstacles

Cargo nets, balance beams, A-Frames, the Slip ‘n’ Slide, the Giant Water Slide, the Barbed Crawl, and more, climbed over, waded through, and crawled under.

Make it a weekend

Stay on after Saturday’s run for camping, the Bright & Tight Afterparty, and a Sunday morning breakfast bap. Campers park in the main car park on arrival and can bring their car across once the runs finish. Checkout is 2pm latest.

Practicalities

Before you arrive

Runners should arrive at least 45 minutes before their wave. Registration and the compulsory warm-up both happen before your start time, arriving late may mean you can’t take part.

Bring your email confirmation with registration number, your completed Risk Acknowledgement Form (this must be handed in at registration), a towel and a change of clothes.

Finding us

Free parking in the main car park, directly opposite the site. Follow the marked path over the bridge and through the subway tunnel into the farmyard, don’t cross the road.

On the day

Bag drop is available in the farmyard, £3 per bag. Changing areas are available for both men and women. Spectators are welcome in the designated areas only, outside the Lazy Llama or at the bottom of the Slip ‘n’ Slide.

Health and safety

Rampage isn’t recommended for anyone with a heart or blood pressure condition, limited mobility, or a nervous disposition, and it’s not recommended for anyone who’s pregnant. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs won’t be allowed to take part.

Rules of conduct

Stick to the marked paths, follow the marshals’ instructions, and go at your own pace, you’re welcome to bypass any obstacle you’re not comfortable with. Respect your fellow runners, and keep an eye out for warning signs and hazard markers throughout the course.

What to wear

Snug-fitting sports clothing dries faster and won’t drag you down in the mud. Trail or sports shoes tied tight, not your good trainers, they won’t survive. A waterproof watch if you’re tracking anything, and a headband helps keep mud out of your eyes. Fancy dress is genuinely welcome, we’ve seen everything from Elvis to a giant hotdog.

Weather

The event runs regardless of weather. You’ll be wet and muddy either way, so a bit of rain doesn’t really change the day.

Terms & Conditions

Before committing to taking on the mighty Rampage, please take a moment to review the following important terms to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

CUSTOMER NOTICE

The Rampage experience is an all action outdoor obstacle mud run. You must accept responsibility and any risk involved in participating in this event.

HEALTH & SAFETY WARNINGS

Rampage is not recommended for anyone suffering the following:

  • Heart or blood pressure conditions
  • Limited mobility/mobility issues
  • Nervous disposition
  • It is not recommended that anyone who is pregnant participates in Rampage.

Any participants under the influence of alcohol/drugs will not be allowed to participate in this event.

RULES OF CONDUCT

Rampage is all about fun, adventure, and a good dose of muddy mayhem. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone, we ask all participants to follow these simple yet important rules:

  • Stick to designated paths – The course is designed to challenge you while keeping you safe. Please stick to the marked trails and paths at all times to avoid injuries or disruptions to the event.
  • Listen to the Marshals – Our marshals are here to guide you, cheer you on, and keep you safe. Please follow their instructions. They know the course, the obstacles, and how to make sure you have the best experience possible.
  • Your run, your pace – Not feeling confident about an obstacle? No problem! You’re welcome to bypass any obstacle that’s not for you. The goal is to have fun and push your limits, on your own terms.
  • Respect your fellow runners – Rampage is a shared adventure. Be kind, give way if needed, and cheer on your fellow mud warriors.
  • Stay alert and follow signage – The course is packed with thrills, but safety comes first. Keep an eye out for any warning signs or hazard markers along the way. They’re there to keep you informed and safe.

TICKETING POLICY

All Rampage bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE. However, we offer a Ticket Protection option, which entitles you to a full refund in case of a last-minute emergency or if you decide to cancel. This protection must be purchased at the time of ticket booking and covers cancellations made up to 2 hours before your scheduled event begins. It does not cover cancellations after the event has started. Terms & Conditions apply.

WHAT TO WEAR

  • Sports clothing – Please wear appropriate outdoor sports clothing. Snug-fitting clothes can help avoid being bogged down by mud and water. Fast drying activewear are ideal as they offer superior ventilation.
  • Footwear – Trail running, running or sports shoes are the best options. Don’t bring your favourite white trainers, they will be ruined! Remember to tie those laces tight.
  • Accessories – Make sure your sports watch is waterproof if you want to track your biometrics. Headbands can help keep the mud out of your eyes.
  • Fancy dress – we’ve seen all kinds of elaborate outfits over the years, so if you want to run as a Giant Hotdog, Elvis or Superman, have at it!

Rampage FAQs

Do I have to be able to swim?
No, but it's strongly recommended for the water obstacles. The Ponds are around 5ft deep and the Giant Water Slide 6-8ft, both can be bypassed if you're not confident, and fully trained lifeguards with tow lines are stationed at both.
Will there be showers and changing facilities afterwards?
es, sheltered changing areas for both men and women, plus an outdoor shower block. With over a thousand runners through in a day, the water won't be piping hot, but it's enough for a decent rinse. Campers get access to the indoor 50p coin-operated shower block from around 4.30pm on the Saturday.
What if I get hurt?
Official medical teams are on site throughout, and Jungle staff and marshals are all First Aid trained.

Food & Stay

Bites, brews and BBQs

The Lazy Llama BBQ is on all night for burgers, loaded fries and the rest. The Café stays open late for hot drinks, snacks and something sweet. The Crêpe Van covers everything in between.

Stay the night

A-Frame Cabins, the Pond Cabin and the Log Cabin all sleep 6, each with a wood-fired hot tub, bathroom and firepit. Glamping Pods sleep 4 with the same hot tub and firepit setup. All can be added to your Fright Night booking directly, spaces go fast so it’s worth booking alongside your tickets rather than after.
