Laser Tag at the Jungle in Magherafelt, Mid Ulster

Laser beams at the ready

Forget paintball bruises, this is the same infamous battleground fought without a single paintball in sight. Camo overalls on, colour coded laser gun in hand and a digital headband keeping score of every hit.

The Trenches. The Graveyard. The Signal Tower. Sneak, ambush, hold your ground, whatever gets your squad through to the next round.

Fancy a grudge match against the kids? Fair game. Just don’t expect them to take it easy on you.

What to expect

We’ll split your group into teams, get everyone into their overalls and show you how the laser guns and scoring system work. Then it’s out onto the battle zones.

You’ll usually play 3–4 different games across 2 or 3 battle zones, with different objectives to keep things interesting. The exact zones can vary depending on what’s happening at The Jungle that day.

Our instructors run the games, keep score and give you a chance to catch your breath between rounds before heading back out.

Practicalities

Ages & Group Size

  • Suitable from age 6+
  • Minimum booking of 6 people.
  • Younger players aged 6–8 may find the laser guns a little heavy after a while, so they might need an occasional break during the session.
  • Smaller groups may be mixed with another booking in the same session

Duration and price

Allow around 3 hours from start to finish. We’ll get you into your overalls, run through the safety briefing and show you how the equipment works before heading out to the battle zones.

You’ll usually play 3–4 different games, with short breaks between rounds to catch your breath before the next game begins.

£30 per person. (3 hour session).

What to wear and bring

Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and trainers or boots with good grip. We provide the overalls.

Laser Tag takes place outdoors, so conditions underfoot depend on the weather. Some battle zones can get wet or muddy after heavy rain, so bringing a change of clothes and footwear isn’t a bad idea.

Weather

Laser Tag runs outdoors in most weather conditions, so come dressed for the forecast. Some battle zones are more sheltered than others and conditions underfoot can vary after heavy rain.

In extreme weather, we may need to reschedule your session.

Booking

All sessions need to be booked in advance, ideally as early as you can and at the very latest by 4pm the day before.

Laser Tag FAQs

Does Laser Tag hurt?
No. There are no paintballs or projectiles. Hits are picked up electronically by your headband, so there's no impact when another player tags you.
Is Laser Tag suitable for younger children?
Laser Tag is suitable from age 6+. The guns can start to feel a little heavy for some younger players over a longer session, so kids aged 6–8 may need an occasional break between games.
Can adults and children play together?
Yes. Adults and kids can play in the same session, so if you fancy taking them on, get involved.
Is there anywhere for parents or leaders to watch?
Yes, you're welcome to watch from the sidelines.
Is Laser Tag indoors or outdoors?
Laser Tag takes place outdoors across our battle zones. You'll usually play across 2 or 3 different zones during your session, depending on availability on the day.

Can we combine Laser Tag with another activity on the same visit?
Absolutely. If you're planning a bigger day for a school, youth group, corporate team or other group, talk to our team and we'll help you put your day together.
